Some years back I was in a local chandlers, buying some deck paint.

The owner of the chandlers, told to me to try to get an industrial resin based deck paint, because the paint I had asked him for, was and I quote him. `Overpriced underperforming sh*t that would fall off, in no time at all. Nevertheless I went ahead, and bought a can of the paint, I had been looking for, because he (unlike some other chandlers I had tried) had some in stock.
Turns out he was totally right, to the extent I will never go near that particular paint brand again if I can avoid it.
Consequently does any one know of, or has ever used, a resin based industrial deck paint, which I could try, that would give good results on a steel deck?
As usual, any advice would be welcomed and appreciated

It's fixable...

Jotun make some really good marine paints, but the key thing is that the surface preparation is adequate

Exactly, its all about the prep.

I got on very well with the Hemple deck pain which I think is chlorinated rubber.

what kind of boat?
What kind of use?

I've sailed steel boats with industrial paint on, lots of grip, wears through clothing in no time.

I'd consider a proper epoxy paint and then something like KiwiGrip for the non-skid layer.
