DIAGNOSTIC CODE L
Discussion
It's a problem with the speedo sensor input - Al's link will tell you the official term.
It's caused by a number of things:
- going to slowly.
- dirty speed sensor / transducer
- broken speed sensor / transducer
Currently, mines broken. However I have found that having no speedo makes me a much safer driver, as strangely, I look at the road all the time!

Does anyone know what diagnostic code L on the trip computer means???
I would just like to add that at least one code comes on every journey,is this common as I just tend to over-ride it and carry on.If it is a problem then I've had it because after about 5 or 6 journeys they've nearly all come on at least once.
Thanks as usual G9eg.

Had similar issues myself, first sensor kept blowing the main fuse, this was subsequently replaced, then that one gave up. The car was remarkably doing 0 -200 miles an hour even without the engine running! This happenend at the same time as the ECU failing! Back with Peninsula now for a full check up!
