can someone please tell me if it is possible to retro fit airbags/side airbags/passenger etc..

also can someone provide a rundown of saftey features of the t350 ie:-roll cage etc

The roll cage is an integral part of the chassis and therefor very rigid, the doors have side beams and that's yer lot. I've seen pictures of rolled Tuscans and even Tamoras and they seem to bear up very well (as nubbin will confirm)

Airbags were invented for stupid americans who refused to wear seat belts.... the safest setup in a car is decent belts and a cage.... just like the T350... seen any race cars with airbags recently....????

You can't retrofit things like airbags. There are none designed to fit anyway.

The roll cage is a good one, and the chassis is very strong. Apart from that the only safety feature is the nut behind the wheel (i.e. you).

Air bags are a very good idea, and to say they are just for stupid americans is a little simplistic, as is the comment "seen any racing cars with air bags". On that basis have you seen many racing drivers racing without helmets??

Your right about a cage and good belts but having airbags would also be a bonus. For most its a road car first don't forget!

Having suffered from two perferated ear drums and a burn on my face from being punted into a motorway barrier in a BMW, I can safely say that I HATE airbags..... But I know they make some people feel safer, but I'd take a cage over them anyday, what's the use of an airbag if the car ends up on it's roof...

I can see your point. But at least you are alive to write this post, and that although you had some burns you still had a face.

Who knows, maybe without airbags your head could have connected to something very hard and got really messed up....

Granted, a full race harness strapped down really tight and a rollcage is highly effective. But lets be honest, how many T350's do you see with harnesses and how often would they be correctly worn for a quick trip to Sainbury's even if they were fitted ?

You really have a simplistic view of things it would seem. "What goods an airbag if you land on your roof?"

Well what about the other 99% of the time when you don't land on your roof, or when the seat belts expand because they are not a 6 point harness and your face smashes into the wheel?

Come on, you don't like em fair enough, but your arguments are a little yeh but no but, yea but no but... ;-)

cheers peepz for replies

i think personally i would prefere airbags(peace of mind)and allthough im not a "speed freak" its other mental (boy racers)etc dangerous driving about the place.

jus too bad they couldnt fit 2 half sized ones(about double width of steering wheel (for driver) and a little smaller one (for passenger)

a few friend and mechanics i have mentioned about tvrs all say the same thing or simular."wanna fast car and stay alive buy a porsche.wanna fast car and die buy a tvr."

hey MR TVR please take not.
conclusioin.i think i just love the t350t looks n drive too much to miss out on one,and i guess as long as i keep sane while driving(not ripping down motor ways)etc,i should be fine.i hope!

thanks again all.
