Is anyone aware of a site where a customer can enter the dimensions of a bush, rather than search vehicle manufacturer, model and year?

Thanks for the link, just realised the original part might be better described as a metalastic bush, so that might open up some options as well.

- actually that supplier/site looks perfect!

Is there a particular reason why you don't want to use genuine bushes?

Yes, I do appreciate it's a Marmite argument! smile

The existing bush isn't a replaceable part (according to the manufacturer's workshop manual) so I want to drill/wangle the old one out and have a go at putting a compatible one in. I've contacted Sachs but no reply, so a bit of research with the right dims should reveal something.

If you go to the Febi catalogue and create an account, you can use the 'expert filter' on search results.

So you can search for 'Control Arm Bush', then filter on various dimensions:

https://partsfinder.bilsteingroup.com/en/search/ar...

If you click the little plus symbol next to the filters, it shows the dimensions in the results list.

A point to note is that sometimes they list more than one diameter if the bush requires it, like this:
