Newhaven Dieppe ferry?

I'm thinking about booking the Newhaven Dieppe ferry, just not sure whether I will be able to get onto it, car's fairly low. Anyone tried it with a lower than standard car?

You should be ok, seen lots of low stuff use it over the years.

They are well versed for low cars on the LM weekend. Used it for the last 10+ years in a TVR

Whilst I cannt answer your question about low slung vehicles, don’t forget that by ring DFDS direct you can get I believe a 20 % discount if anyone in your group is over 60.

Depends a bit on the tide. I took my slammed Vw split screen on one year and was ok with a 45 degree angle of attack. The bigger problem on the way back is one of the speed humps coming out of Newhaven ferry terminal is an absolute monster so look out for that. I haven’t been through for 3 years so May have gone and they may let you out the in way

@RadoGTR when you rock up this isn't the ferry company's first Rodeo and far from the first 'special load' they've had to deal with. Having seen lots of low cars loading for the Classic one year while you don't normally see it there's half a B&Q lumber yard tucked next to the loading doors of a RORO ferry and the loaders can normally take one look at you car and appear with just the right combination of blocks and planks to get you on and off.

I usually watch the loading, and whilst I'm not first on, I don't recall any problems, a little plank movement occasionally.

Its the Yank tanks that have the problem due to the long rear overhang. Even the caravans are straight on.
