Is this normal. As the car stands cold this hose draws in through suction as the coolant cools

Mine does this as well.

AM Leeds said it was the expansion tank cap so had one fit. Still the same so assume that's the way it is. Have noted that it is ok when using regularly, its only after its been stood for quite a while that it implodes.

Definitely not “normal” mine doesn’t do that, but not necessarily a huge issue either but I’d get it checked to be honest. Hope nothing to worry about.

Yes and another duff one too I think.

I went to get the car a couple of days ago and the battery was no longer square. Ctek said all was Kool and the Gang but clearly wasn’t.

Proceeded to remove the battery (what a job). Never got round to getting it out as had to go get tools. Retuned today and thought I’d change the Ctek for another. 2 lights came up and then a 3rd (on the Ctek) so will check tomorrow.

Had already orders a new battery though from AM.

As far as I am aware, the coolant cap should vent positive pressure over its pressure rating but allow a vacuum in the system to allow fresh air in to prevent this. I would still diagnose a faulty coolant cap.

Ok thanks
It’s in for a service this week so I’ll ask.
