IMO, a bright silver and maybe with a sparkle lacquer

Or BMW Ferric Grey

This is platinum silver (they were the alloys I had fitted on my previous F01 730D):

I’d say bright silver or gloss black to blend in with the rest of your black bits. I think on a bright light colour black wheels can look nice.

It’s possibly not very helpful, but I would recommended not powder coating them - I’d get them refurbed (assuming they need it) to keep the original look.

I’ve seen a few of those wheels painted and they just don’t look right on the car to me.

Have a play around on an alloy wheel visualizer, e.g. https://www.dezent-wheels.com/3DKonfigurator

Gives some idea of what different colours look like against the paint; I sort of think the other comments about a lighter grey are probably correct though.

If you like the shineyness of the diamond cut finish but don’t want the agro of them failing again consider doing them in shadow chrome. Has a nice shine to it without being too in your face. You can then ceramic coat them which will also add extra glossiness and depth

Gold coloured alloys may look nice with that shade of blue.

Shadow chrome does it for me.

I love how Shadow Chrome looks, but went for Glitter Silver when I had my wheels refurbed because they could replicate it if a wheel got scuffed.

They couldn't guarantee a match for Shadow Chrome so at least 2 wheels would need doing. frown
