This might well be a noddy question but I’ve only ever jacked a car up to change a wheel, in which case stands aren’t essential or one with a central jacking point, in which case it’s easy.

According to the manual, the G2x doesn’t have a central jacking point front or rear, only one at each corner, meaning you can’t put a stand under the corner you’re lifting.

Ultimately it’s not a big deal as it’s only for cleaning the wheels, callipers and arches so worst ways I can just do one corner at a time. Am I missing something?

Trolley jack on the sill, using rubber pad to protect the metalwork. Axle stand under a suitable point.
Repeat for each corner.

Am I missing something?

(this is my experience on lots of cars inc my two BMWs, but I don't have a G2x)

I normally jack the (say) left side from the rear jacking point. The whole left side lifts up and you can put a stand under the front jacking point, and then can drop it down.
Then do the same on the other side, and the front is on stands using nothing but the jacking points.

Doing the rears at the same time is a bit harder - you can lift using the jacking points, but then puts stands under something solid (e.g. subframe), or for my two BMWs I jack off the rear diff cradle and put stands under the jacking points. But if you don't have a listed jacking point, then maybe not.

Bit crap that BMW have omitted the front central jacking point - I thought that was brilliant on my E39.
