Ok then, this is just a heads up for anyone that may have the same issue as me.

The car has a utility mode. This enables the high voltage to be switched on for long term powering of the 12v system, but not the drive motor. While bored, I activated the utility mode to see what it does. So far, so good.

When I had enough, I found I was unable to switch utility mode off. The car won't drive in utility mode!

I switched the car off and on, but it came back straight to utility mode. I tried off/on and lock/unlock and waited a while for the ecu to sleep - no change.

I cured it by pulling the 12v negative battery lead off for 10 seconds and refitting it.

I have tried it since and its the same every time, so either I'm missing something or theres a bug in there!

Can't you go back to the menu and turn it off?

Settings/Home/EV/EV Settings (the gear wheel)

No, the "utility mode: on" was greyed out.

Yeah, you're right.

I just tried it with my Kona and it worked fine. Turn off, foot on footbrake, turn on, and its back in driving mode.

I did that, but the car comes back in utility mode. No green ready icon and it says "UTIL" at bottom right of instrument display.
