This is the one where they made both parts back to back? That sound you hear is the Bond producers ripping up their script drafts and release schedules.

That was the original plan but Covid put paid to that.

This recent Hollywood Reporter article gives the inside scoop on the filming of MI 7 & 8.

The man has balls. And he's supposed to be a very nice guy too. AND he's exactly the same age as me.

I obviously hate him.

This short clip posted yesterday saying thanks for going to see Top Gun - he falls backwards off the helicopter like it's nothing, then chats in freefall. Unbelievable. eek

He's exactly one day older than me.
I reckon he's let himself go, my wife disagrees.

I had sweaty palms just at this shot - I'd never even have been able to stand there - and I've previously thrown myself off a sheer 3000' cliff on a hang glider!!

I thought mission impossible fallout was a fantastic piece of entertainment. Looking forward to this.

Same, I felt queasy watching it, and I’ve got 2500 hours in helicopters. How much did that one stunt cost?

I have to admit, I haven't seen the last couple of MI films, but I'm sure they're still fun.

They ain't giving up though are they? I'm a middle-aged, married father of two. I was in school when the first one came out, not yet old enough to drink or vote.

"Well, I went to the safety guy. I’d been dreaming of this stunt for years and I went to the safety guy and I explained what I was going to do and the guy said it was too dangerous.

So I got another safety guy....'”

If he doesn't die on set one of these days, is he really even trying?

TC does seem to regard film making as a bit of a fun activity and includes a vast team to enable it. Well paid fun for all.
Non of that rolling around and jumping over boxes in the studio for the digital guys to fill in the details later.
Does his own running as well. Should film a von ryans express remake where he gets away.

It's not a TC film if there's not a panning shot of him running somewhere.

And one of him on a motorbike.

This releases in my 40th birthday so hoping the family has picked up the hints as to what I want to be doing on the day! Looks epic; I just watched someone MI retrospective on YouTube - all 2.5 hours of it - and I had not realised how solid every film is and the longevity of the franchise. Really looking forward to this instalment.
