A stretch of road with which I am quite familiar. Strange how that makes an event seem more 'real'. Hope the injured make full recoveries, and RIP to the passenger.

That's really sad news. cry

It makes you realise that classics don't perform too well in a crash.

Very sad news and R.I.P to the passenger in the Daimler.

Used to use that road (amongst others) quite regularly during visits to North Wales through the 80's and 90's....

It may have been a convertible - do they have seat belts
It sounds as though both vehicles performed similarly from the scant details

Not sure how old the Daimler is, sadly the word vintage is now used for anything deemed more than about 30 years old rather than pre 1930 as it should be.

A great driving road driven it many times that stretch as good visibility and not that busy this time of year. Will be interesting to see if they find out what happened. RIP and speedy recovery to survivors

A Volvo group I am on recently had a 240 involved in a fatal accident in California. For a car that was the first word in car safety when it was new the picture of it after the accident (driver, who was only 18 not in the image) it looked totally mangled. Mine is from 1993 and I am actually surprised they would be selling something so outdated even then. Certainly made me think twice about taking any risks in it.

I saw a post on a FB car group I’m on today and if I’m putting two and two together correctly is was the owner of the car in this accident. He mentioned his partner being the one who died and he is seriously hurt. The car was a Daimler 2.5 v8 saloon.
