I really like my car but sadly it came without HK. The audio is poor and can’t handle music played at volume without sounding reedy and thin. There are no tweeter mounts in the doors. It’s a standard 2017 car with Pro Nav.
Can this be resolved, keeping everything looking OEM, all installed, for south of £1k? Where does the OEM sub fit? I assume I’m the spare wheel well? I’m in Surrey. Thanks

Subs are more like mids and are under the seats, 1k won’t go far but look into audison, match and focal, all do specific fit speakers and amps .

Bought a 440i GC a few years without HK.

Your best solution is to upgrade the front mids, subs and add in tweeters and also an amp - no point in upgrading the speakers if you don't add an amp.

I upgraded my front mids, subs and added in tweeters using Vibe speakers in OEM BMW tweeter covers and also added a 800w Vibe amp - also took the opportunity to add in dynamat.

Cost me about £800 a few years ago so probably looking over £1k at today's prices.

I don't rate HK anyway, so for me I was glad that my 440i didn't come with it.

Nothing to add other than focus on the front stage.
Focal Es100k.
Dynamat.
Tweet housing.
Should all come under £800 including labour.

Next up would be to add an amplifier.
Run it all off that.
Up to £1500 for that including amp + labour.

Good luck. Make it something great and enjoy it.
