Ordered a part from Autodoc on Friday for £100, was dispatched yesterday morning. Great stuff I thought.

Decided to check the item page again, price now showing £79. Quite a difference from just three days ago, and feel conned. Contacted their customer support to see if they can refund the difference, apparently not once an order is placed.

Only solution is to buy it again at the reduced price, and return the first item back to Germany. Seems like a total waste of the couriers time. Has anyone else had a similar experience with Autodoc?

Trying to contact them again and see if they will refund the first order, and not dispatch the second order. Would make far more sense rather than messing around with returning one for them to post the same thing out again.

So if they had put the price up in the meantime, I presume you would return the item and buy it at the more expensive price?

FFS.

Download the app and add parts you need to your wish list. Then monitor it over a week and order when it's cheaper. I just got a bosch alternator for an alfa v6 £80 cheaper.

I wouldn't expect an item to drop by 20% in one working day when it was supposedly already on sale at reduced price.

Presumably you were happy to pay the price you paid, though?

Autodoc is one of those sites which has constant sale, sometimes more sometimes less.
Also keep in mind that exchange rates, as the prices are in euro, but converted into GBP, so it can fluctuate because of that as well.

It was higher than I wanted to pay, but cheaper than in the UK.

It's frustrating that I've paid £21 more than I should have for the item however. It's £21 better off in my pocket.

Clearly you are new to online motorfactors rofl

They all do it, AutoDoc are no different. I doubt any of them have ever sold anything without there being a special offer applied somehow.

Autodoc prices are usually lowest on mondays. Typically around 35% off.
Use the app as the discounts are higher and put all your items in a wishlist
Combine the larger monday discount with an upto 5% discount code you can find online nets you high 30 to low 40% discount.

I made the mistake of ordering some oil filters from Autodoc 14 days ago. I wonder if they will ever turn up.

I've now got two of the same parts on their way. 2 days later no response from return request for first order.

Both say in transit with GLS.
