Anybody got rear calipers for sale

I am wanting to put chim rear brakes on my V8S. Does anybody know were I could get a set. Have upgraded the front but the rears are struggling to match them.

Get in touch with a firm in Bury Lancashire called Brakes International, The trade use them.

Do they sell new ones. I was hoping to get second hand ones as it is a bit of trial and error. Will have to make extension plates as the V8S has smaller discs on back. Does anyone know what Fords the discs are on as a visit to the breakers might be called for.

Ford discs I think are Escort Cosworth, though thats for the vented rears found on the facelifted Chims.
Might be worth giving BellHill garage a shout as they break TVRs.

I gave a set with discs to Davis and Greg when I moved house back in Feb, may be worth a call. They are the later vented type (post 95 I think)

Are they not just std Ford rear calipers on the back of a Chimaera?
They looked like std solid Sierra discs n sierra/Granada calipers to me.
If you want vented on the rear use later 2.9 4x4 sierra/ 4x4 Cossie (Granada Cossie calipers are also the same)

Hi Mark. where were you today, great run up the north coast. Have the vented discs from the chim (have put groved on chim) But I assume d&g only have your discs but I need the calipers (V8S only has single disc on it).Thanks zippee will give the breaker a shout thanks for that

Ah you have made me very happy. Will call up with D&G tomorrow and try and do a deal with them. Looks like that will be me under the car at the weekend. Great run (I was in the Griff with Alan) Found a good spot to eat (Carvery, all you could put on the plate)as the usual place had no parking near it.

what size discs does the s have on it?

the later chims have different hub carriers to mount the caliper further out i assume just like the sierras. All non-vented rear sierra/granny calipers are the same. The only difference is the 4x4 2.0 cosworth and 2.9 cosworth granada (not the 2.9 4x4 sierra) had vented calipers.
