Recommend me a detailing tape

Kind and knowledgeable Sirs;
Detailing noob here.
Over the bank holiday weekend I’m going to clean, clay bar and machine polish my van.
The last time I polished my van, I did so by hand and without taping-up the vehicle, with the expected results when it came to exterior plastics.
Can anyone recommend me a reasonably priced detailing tape please? I’m guessing 24mm / 1” is a decent ‘all round’ tape, but what’s the difference between the blue and green tape?
Are the majority of the 3M tapes sold on eBay fake? Are they crap?
Are there any other brands I should be considering? There’s one called Q1 on eBay, but I’ve never heard of them.
