I’ve decided that I’m going to get off my arse and paint the diffuser on my E92. The stock grey colour colour looks pants against the grey along of the car.

The main part of the diffuser came off really easily but there’s a silly little insert above it which BMW refer to as a cover. It’s part 4 on the diagram belowm

I can’t see an easy or obvious way to get it off. I think it might be held in place with a lot of 3M tape.

Warm it up with a hair dryer Sam and see if you can prise it off with a trim removal tool...

Can you see anywhere if it's clipped on at all?

There are two stubs in the back but if you push on them they start to fold.

There’s barely any lip or recess to get anything under it to prise it off. Stupid bloody design.
