Crash and run in a Focus and you might just get away with it. Crash and run in this car and it’s going to be a little harder. It’s not like no-one will have noticed you getting into the thing. Some people have so few brain cells I’m amazed at times.

Well, Halesowen is to the west of Birmingham and a decent place to be, whereas the badlands you may be thinking of are east of Birmingham. Though I'd imagine the culprit could have made their way over to see what it's like...

Funny how the photo was provided by Darren Edmonds, and coincidentally (OBVIOUSLY) one Darren Edmonds is the MD of Drivers Dream Days Ltd, a supercar experience company in Loughborough.

Hmm…the game is afoot. Let the speculation and detective work commence.

I'm guessing he's had a call that went something like "a Ferrari registered to your business has been crashed and abandoned on Hagley Road. We're seizing it.", hence him going to the scene.

Hmm, I wonder what sort of tosser would flee the scene of a supercar crash. Or threaten their daddy's customers.

Guy hires a supercar. Mate has a go. Next mate has a go. Next mate with no talent has a go...

Mates obviously not insured so the easiest thing is to do a runner before being identified. The hirer then denies all knowledge, no comment, dindunuffin.

Hagley Road, twinned with Bradford-sur-Beck. biggrin

On the brightside it now looks marginally better.

Someone hired it for a wedding and crashed it showing off again?

Having had an SF90 for the weekend they are shockingly fast, like a modern day F40 without the brown pants sensation when the turbo kicks in, they are just instantly rapid. Anyone that’s not used to driving anything over 400bhp could have a spectacular “watch this” moment as seen here.

There's probably not that many get how good that reference is.

I’m local to this, in fact I’d seen the car driving around Halesowen a couple of times earlier in the week and I noticed it 2 hours prior to the crash where it was parked on a Pub car park just down the road from where the crash happened.

I don’t believe the guy who took the photo (the news sites have taken the photo from the local Facebook group posts) is anything to do with the super car company listed above, he’s just a local chap (though he does have a second hand car lot on the same road this happened).

The number plate on the Ferrari ‘19 RAC’ doesn’t seem to be registered to any car! Strange how anyone can drive around in an unregistered/uninsured 500K vehicle.

Surely if it was stolen it would have had a tracker?

The driver was probably over the limit and he has yet to be found I believe.

Also this is a different Hagley Road to the one I think you are referring to above.

Crash footage here, certainly not looking like the usual wedding car hire shenanigans.

Obviously on the phone.

And then missed the brake.

Odd he was on the wrong side of the road unless he was intending parking up then missing the brake.

Does not look like a wedding car this time.
