Having bought my M4 the back end of last year, its now about ready for some new shoes.

What are peoples thoughts on the best tyres for it?

Michelin Pilot sport 4s are what I replaced my tyres with on my M4 comp and I’m delighted with them in both wet and dry conditions.

MP4S are the best tyres for M3, M4 and M5.

Goodyear Supersport are excellent too, as well as the Conti 7.

Personally I preferred MPSS to MPS4S - probably just for the slightly stiffer sidewalls and hence very slightly better turn in steering accuracy, which I enjoyed as it's not a daily driver for me.

That really is splitting hairs though, to be fair, and you'd definitely want MPS4S if you're going to use the car year round as the difference is marginal at the best of times and in inclement weather the 4S is way ahead.

I've got these on mine having previously had MPSS on my last 2 cars. Night and day better when the temperatures drop a bit, I can't tell a difference in the dry either.

Haven't tried the PS4S as there was a shortage when I was changing tyres, the Goodyears were 30 quid a corner cheaper too.
