About time the Government of the day decided to do somthink right.A none enforcement dedecated unit to manage accidents rather than crime and accidents. When there is a accident on the motorway the traffic builds up approximatley 1mile a minute, as all you truckers and regular motorway users are aware sitting in traffic costs us all time and monies. Thank god someone decided to do somethink about it, police for crime Highways Agency Traffic Officers for accidents. At least now the Police can dedicate there motorway police on tracking down the drivers with no insurance and no driving licences, im all for it well done to the think tank that came up with this idea.

I'd rather the police were freed from dealing with petty offences and were able to concentrate on unsafe driving, to be honest.

Civilian Traffic Officers will inevitably lead to less Police Traffic Officers which cannot be good for road safety.
