S2 Cobra alarm Silent operation ?

When I first got my S2 the Cobra 8185/6 alarm (dunno which one) arm/disarm was pleasingly silent, just indicators flashing.

Disconnected the battery to do some work and now it beeps when arming and disarming, and there is nothing in the manual about disabling the beeps. Anyone know how this works ?

Sounds like a one of the door/bonnet panel/boot sensors thinks something is open, that's what the beeping noise is. Have a check that all the switches and pressed when each opening is closed.

Dont think so, its 2 beeps on arm and 1 on disarm as if "by design". If I leave a door/boot open I get different continious warning beep like in the manwel.

the radio control ‘A’ button within 5 seconds of connecting the system power supply:
• The direction lights will blink once if the buzzer is not active;
• The direction lights will blink once and the buzzer will beep to confirm buzzer activation."
