EBC Pads, which ones ?

The front pads on my 450 are pretty much worn out - the previous owner had uprated all the Disks to drilled/grooved and put EBC redstuff pads on. I have the receipt for the disks and the rear pads, but not for the front pads - when I check the EBC online store there is only one rear pad option - and this matches the part number I have from the original invoice (so Im am guessing the upgraded disks are the same size as originals)- but for front pads there are two options both of which look quite different. Anybody happen to know for a '97 chim 450 which of these part numbers it is ? DP3002C or DP3415C ? I think its the 3002 one (well its bound to be as its more expensive) but if anyone can help me it would be much appreciated

- Edited to add - I think I answered my own question - took the step of actually looking at the brakes through the wheels and they look exactly like part DP3415C which has side tabs. Next time I will look before posting !

Beware -- the diagrams on the catalogues are often typical rather than actual. The two types of front pad on the chim are the same shape (both have 'ears')just the later ones have a wider pad width. I run green stuff on my 99' 450 which are excellent, i would have thought the red stuff possibly a little hard (more suitable for a 1500Kg medium size saloon rather than the light 1060kg TVR). I had the same problem ordering pads and i have a set of the 'wrong' ones on the shelf, i'll check the number if you like.

Hmmm thanks for the warning - I'm down at Austec tomorrow I'll see if they can take a quick look and tell me which ones to order ;-)

Cant bear the suspense now, just taken a stroll to the workshop and checked the pads ive got on the shelf. THe EBC green stuff for the early chim is DP2415, (I guess the red stuff would be 3415) so that's not the one you want. Should be the DP*002

well *ahem* on taking the wheels off and having a good look there is plenty of pad wear left so problem solved for now and it didnt cost a penny :-) I was just worried about some grinding from the brakes under heavy high speed use but it seems thats normal for the redstuff pads. And it does stop rather quickly :-)
