How is it possible to get onto the lower bolt through the access hatch? Seems impossible…
I’ve tried to remove the bolt from the footwell but it starts to spin so need to hold it from the hatch side.
Any help appreciated

Its easier if you have someone to help you but possible on your own.

Here's my trick. (from memory!)

1) Fill a socket with grease or vaseline. This stops the bolt falling out of the socket when you extract it.

2) Use a socket extension like this to get on the bolt from the hatch.

3) Then you can undo the nut on the pedal end and the socket and extension will stop it from turning.

For refitting:

I used a blob of superglue to hold the bottom bolt in the master cylinder while i got it into the hole. This should also hold it enough to nip up the bolt from the pedal end.

I use 1/4" socket extensions passed through the grommet hole where the servo vacuum hose comes out.

Thanks Steve, I’m going to try this as struggling getting anything on via the access hatch (extensions are either slightly too short or long!)
I presume you remove the hose from the servo to do this? If so, do I just edge it off with a screwdriver? Schoolboy instructions appreciated!
Cheers

Hose stays in place. just pull the grommet out and along the hose towards the plenum.
!/4" drive extensions are thin enough to go through the hole along with the hose.

Success - thanks for the top tips. Old master out and new one in.
Hopefully final question…. My nice new shiny clevis pin seems really tight for the pedal (and so does the one that came out with some force). Any clever ways to get it in?
Thanks- help is really appreciated.

Dress out the hole clevis should be a sliding fit in pedal and push-rod fork , probably rust is causing the bind
