Thanks to Longers at Fasttracktours for organising this years Euro Tour

I'm about to pack the S and mosey down to Northallerton to pick up John, my passenger/navigator for the next 10 days. We are extending the end of the tour into Switzerland for a few days.
Then off to take the Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry and then hook up with Han in Holland for the run down to Soissons in France to meet the other 33 cars.

Loads on Facialbuakea where it is easier to post pictures.

They are due back today so I suspect a review will appear once people get back to their proper IT equipment - ie not their phones / tablets.

Was a great trip. good to catch up with many of the regulars and a nice route down to the classic racing weekend at Dijon Prenois. Gratuitous photo of V8S line up..

Nice one Ray. I’d heard you gone for a rover. Be interested to hear your views on how the v6 and v8 differ {that old debate). Great photo. Pete

I do hate Facebook, which feels like a jumbled mess posting wise. I’m only on there to see if I don’t miss anything important.

Shame you couldn’t make it Pete, was a good trip with a good crowd.

Did enjoy the touring with the V8. The car I have has not been used much for the last few years, and I haven’t had a chance to do a lot of miles prior to the trip, so was a bit nervous, but it did the whole trip including down from Durham to the Chunnel without any issues at all..

V8 definitely covers the miles a little quicker, although I was taking it pretty easy on the twisty bits. Think the car is still running the original Konis so that’s one of the things I will be looking to improve..

Ray - get the OEM Konis rebuilt with new valves and seals. Set them to max rebound damping and you will be amazed at how good they are.

We did 20 miles short of 1800 with the extra going to Geneve.

Only issue was loosing the damn ignition key.
