I joined the site mainly for some F1 chat, boy can those lot moan!
But then you read other parts of the site;
AMG One- pointless
GM T.50- pointless, ugly, too expensive (one bloke even took offence to the . In the name!)
Any Porsche- unobtainable pointless
Rolex- see above!
I mentioned this site to someone I know and they said “pissed off heads! It’s full of old men moaning at each other!”
The F1 threads could be a topic all by itself, basically everyone is either a cheat, talentless, only wins because of the car, is a daddy’s boy, or simply wears some jazzy trousers.

Must be one of the only forum sites that you can have a discussion about basically anything.
Believe me... there are a lot of weird sites out there.
I got barred from one after a few posts... they thought that I was a ROBOT.
If it’s a specific subject that you want to banter in... there are usually quite a few other sites to choose from.

You are at liberty to create some uplifting threads and entertain us with your erudite insights.
Purely observational, but there are a lot "advice needed: what brand of toilet tissue should I buy?" and "advice needed: have a budget of £X and I need to buy Y type of car. Any suggestions?" or "help needed: [insert summary of crisis]" types of thread on here.
Sometimes the OP vanishes and does not reply.
Oftentimes, however, the thread gets derailed by a handful disagreeing over something minor, which then turns into a full-blown argument.

Some of the sites do not like humour or sarcasm either.
( Goes against their policy...amongst other odd rules)

I've been here for decades. It's brilliant. I recently served thirty days enforced shooting tigers for being somewhat blunt and truthful. Fair enough, the world has moved on from the early days of Ted and mods are less tolerant now.
But there is still nowhere like here. So much good advice amongst the easily offended and mummy's boys. Just avoid the threads that annoy and don't bite.

This site has got me through a HND when way over my head, picked me up from rock bottom, shared in the sucess of my second marriage, given sound advice with watches, shoes, tv’s, lakes and more.
I love this place, yeah there are some moaners but generally everyone is helpful and grateful.
Long may we be the best forum on the goddamn interweb.

Steer yourself away from the crap and dive into the good stuff, there is plenty of it to be found. PH may have a reputation elsewhere but who cares? It's a fantastic place most of the time - I've learned no end on here, I even bought a car with the help and kindness of a complete stranger on here.
