New brakes randomly started squealing?
Discussion
So, I recently installed new brake pads and discs around a week ago.
All went well, and I made sure to clean everything down with a wire brush and brake cleaner. I also lubricated/greased the correct areas such as the face of the wheel hub (behind disc), the wings of the pads and the back of the pads. I also installed brand new slide pins on both sides and applied silicone grease.
I must note, I have removed the calipers 2 times since then for other reasons, so it is possible some of the grease on the wings of the pads could of been rubbed off.
I have just came back from a long journey (100+) miles and noticed right at the end the brakes have started to squeak. It only does it occasionally when I brake fairly hard. They have been completely fine for a week until now.
Based on all these factors, does anyone have any ideas on why this may be or what I should do?
Much appreciated

Stopping brake squeal is more of an art than a science. It can be affected by chamfering the edges of the pads, and fitting or removing anti-squeal shims between the pads and the caliper, increasing or reducing the preload on the retaining clips, adding grease or removing it. It can come and go with pad wear, temperature, humidity and so on. If it's annoying you then change something and see if it gets better or worse, but don't expect anyone to tell you the one right way to stop brake squeal because there isn't one.
