Generator that will run a 130 amp welder?

Is a regular 240v outlet not an option? I used to run my Clarke MIG151TE on a home-made 25metre extension cable, no bother.
I paid £30 for the first thickness of cable that's supposedly too thick for a 3 pin plug (it isn't, with care)
I'd anticipated problems with voltage drop over the long distance, but I was mistaken.
