Schoolkids rout Animal Rights Goons in milk fight.
Discussion
Just got this from an email list..
SCOTLAND - Police had to be called yesterday after schoolkids ambushed
animal rights' activists with milk bombs.
Around 100 students at Aberdeen Grammar School circled PETA leader Sean
Gifford and a man in a cow suit, shouted "milk for the masses," and
pelted the duo with cartons of milk.
The PETA campaigners had gathered at the school gates to warn children
about the alleged dangers of drinking milk.
A soaked Gifford said: "I have been all over the UK with this protest
and I have never seen anything like this before. It must be something
to do with children in Aberdeen. I think they just got a bit
over-excited but I'm sure they will still go home and think about our
message."
Yesterday's protest was the latest in PETA's nationwide drive. They
warn children that they could be at risk of heart disease, cancer,
stroke and osteoporosis if they keep drinking milk.
But 16-year-old Alan Smith was not in a listening mood in Aberdeen
yesterday: "This is a stupid idea. We should be encouraged to drink
milk. I certainly won't stop drinking milk just because a man has
dressed up as a cow outside my school."

Same mob as this?

You're at risk of a bone wasting disease if you drink something that's full of calcium? WTF?
I'd like to see the research on that.
Or is it simply that everyone who suffers from these ailments has drunk dairy products at some point in their life.
Everyone is at risk from all sorts of stuff, it's called life and growing old. Deal with it you bunch of carrot munching left-wing wimps.

In all seriousness, what these PETA monkeys are doing is dangerous manipulation of children.
Milk is just like anything else - beneficial in moderation.. Drink 4 pints a day and you'll be a fat git, but drink half or one pint a day and you'll have strong teeth & bones and don't have anything to worry about..
Anyway, surely milk is better than cans of Coke or Scummy Delight?
Were I a Father, I'd be beside myself with anger at the attempts of these interfering morons to inflence my child. Kids are impresssionable and believe shit you tell them about food.. in fact I'd be forced to take some action against them.
And what the hell have the health benfits or otherwise of milk got to do with an animal ethics organisation anyway? I guess their motive is to cripple the milk industry ergo cows can be returned to their families where they can lead a normal life, be educated and get a good job..
These sort of people should be flayed and mutilated for public entertainment.

Just seen the web site... It beggars belief
I think shooting these guys could considered as euthanasia. Their brains have stopped functioning a long time ago as they've turned into vegetables themselves.
We do have an array a very competent IT technicians on PH. Surely, enough to mount a virus attack to their web site...
Ideas anyone?

Ideas anyone?I would like to think that the animals I choose to eat and wear would not be made to suffer any more than necessary,..... however
Milk is good for kids,... only old fat fekhirs with high cholesterol should not drink full fat milk.
Kids need fat and calcium and milk is full of both.
Tw@ts who try to encourage kids not to drink milk do nothing to stop animal suffering.
They make themselves look stupid which reflects badly on the folk who want a steak for dinner, but dont want the animal transported around europe first in an overcrowded lorry with no food or water for days.
Fekin duckheads,... well done the school kids.

The only possible point they may have, but,are then using it to generalise accross the board, is that new born babys should not be given Cow's milk as it is not designed for them and doesn't not include the right indgredients in the right proportions for them.
That shouldn't be a problem in most cases, as babies tend to have Mum's.
Once they're weened though, cow, goat, sheep...bloody yeti milk is more than enough, and far more healty than the "vitamin enriched syrups" they usually get these days.
Mouse.

i dont understand this at all.
they are advertising BK on the fact that BK do a veggie burger. Are they really trying to suggest that BK can be forgiven for making burgers out of sawdust, trotters and the floor scrapings just because they now do a veggie burger. i find this quite bizarre, all the animals that suffer and die in the many slaughter houses (not to mention the staff that have to work there) are forgotten because BK do a veggie burger, probably made form gm grops anyway...............
this is on their site following the BK veggie link...
In June 2001, following PETA’s six-month campaign, Burger King agreed to hold its suppliers accountable for upgraded standards of animal welfare. Now, Burger King has become the first fast-food restaurant in America to add a veggie burger (already available in Europe and Canada) to all U.S. locations.
Click here to watch footage of a recent PETA demonstration supporting the BK Veggie.
(RealPlayer required).
The “BK Veggie” includes a patty made of vegetables, grains, and spices, shredded lettuce, two tomato slices, and reduced-fat mayonnaise. It contains 330 calories and 10 grams of fat, including 2 grams of saturated fat. You can ask servers to hold the mayo (which will also cut 3 grams of fat) and have the burger microwaved in order to avoid contamination with animal products on the grill.
Veggie burgers are already available at most major restaurant chains, but Burger King has surged ahead of its fast-food competition with this move. PETA hopes that everyone will give the new BK Veggie a royal welcome.
Please write or call Burger King's CEO to thank him for the introduction of the veggie burger at his restaurants nationwide:

Speaking of Burglar King, in the same email:

NEW YORK - For nearly three decades, Burger King has urged its customer
to have it their way.
But a legal motion filed in state Supreme Court claims that the
marketing campaign may be an invitation that creates a motive for poorly
supervised workers to contaminate food.
The motion, which seeks summary judgment in a $15.5 million lawsuit
against Burger King and other defendants, was filed on behalf of a
Monroe County sheriff’s deputy who was stricken with vomiting and
diarrhea after eating a Whopper hamburger at a Burger King restaurant on
the Thruway in Henrietta.
Employees of the restaurant had spit on frozen beef patties and laced
burgers with cleaning products. One employee was convicted of
first-degree tampering with a consumer product, another pleaded guilty
to tampering charges and a third was acquitted of a misdemeanor charge.
“Hardly any consumer is unaware of Burger King’s ‘Have It Your Way’
campaign, yet those consumers who accept this invitation are targeted
for food contamination with alarming frequency,” the motion alleges.
The motion is the latest in a case brought by sheriff’s Deputy Gamaliel
Dominguez and his wife, Clara. On April 30, 2000, Dominguez stopped at
the Thruway Burger King and ordered a Whopper with cheese and no
mayonnaise.
He later became ill after eating the burger, which had been
contaminated.
According to the motion, Dominguez suffered from diarrhea and dyspepsia
for months, has “carried a medical bag with him since his poisoning” and
has undergone surgery related to the incident.
The legal motion notes that the “Have It Your Way” campaign encourages
special orders by Burger King customers. Yet one employee in the local
criminal case testified that special orders were “typically targeted”
for tampering, the legal papers say.

Won't that have milk in it?
Errr..no! Mayonaise is egg yolk, mustard and oil.
Edited to say: "or at least that's how it should be. Unfortunately, the ingredient list on your average industrial mayo product is as long as a Blair speech!"
