After a good clean...........does anyone actually add a wax coating - ?

Part of me wonders if the wax would capture/trap more dust/debris (especially given all the builders work going on in the neighbourhood).

Naturally, if anyone can recommend a good DIY exterior windscreen/glass coating - would be appreciated.

Nothing. If I need the wipers, and I know the screen is dirty, I just apply 3 or 4 squirts of the washers, in a way that does not activate the wipers until the last squirt. I have used Rain X in the past, it’s OK, but we live on the West Coast, so we get enough rain to keep the screen clean.

I've used wax on glass (excl. windscreen) in the past to good effect. My go-to glass sealant is Angelwax H2G0 - this can be used on the windscreen too.

There are many good products on the market, most seem to be the same just in different labeled bottles.

This one is my choice:

Another vote for RainX. I do all the windows except the windscreen as I've had wiper judder in the past. I do round the edge of the windscreen though.

I've tried various products over the years but I find RainX lasts very well.

All of the sealants bead the water, so if you have a rear screen with no wiper the water will just sit there. A sealant that sheets water would be perfect.

Agreed. No need to wipe it with a saloon, the airstream will clear it.

Jetseal 109 works well on the glass even the windscreen but i tend to use other stuff on the screen (G5)

A lot of the ceramic spray coatings can be used on glass. I use Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray and you can use on paint, glass, plastic etc. It's not as good as Rain X, but 70% there.

Carbon Collective Platinum glass for me, works well as long as the instructions are followed, the prep is good.

Which is the same stuff as G Technique but cheaper price wise. Made in the same factory as well.
