My accountant has asked for the above in order to finalize my year end accounts.

I have accounts with AJ Bell. Fundsmith. IG Trading. Vanguard.

I have made a loss for the year end but need something from the platforms to give my accountant. Is what they have asked for the correct terminology ? and how do I go about it ....TIA

Simple answer - yes. He's asking for the right type of documentation. Brokers should provide you with an annual booklet which should contain all the information you and he needs.

In my experience Tax Certs arrive in about June. It means little to me but my chap falls on it like he was hungry and it's a pub menu Never happier than when putting numbers into boxes.

You can probably download it as a PDF from the various websites; have a hunt through the tabs, 'burgers' and all the other clutter

You might be able to download the data as a pdf if you have a "portal" etc to allow you to access your personal portfolio details.

It's often just easier to wait until the documents arrive in the post.
