360 MODENA OR 355 SPIDER ?

360, being the newer car, is arguably more reliable.

However, I know of ex-360 owners who had very unreliable cars and 355 owners who have never had an issue.

Normal rules apply - get any car checked over by a proper mechanic

Hi,

I used to own a 355 spider and have recently changed to a 360 modena F1.

I had no major problems with the 355 but I do feel the 360 is a leap forward for Ferrari. It feels better built and that in itself gives you a bit more confidence about the relaiblity. I was always a bit worried in the 355 as it has its good and bad days and seems to have a greater list of known issues.

Echo the point about getting whatever you buy checked out by a specialist.

Also worth noting that the 355 and 360 are completely different animals, would suggest a test drive in both before making your decision.

355 spider any day- the last good looking car to come from ferrari.

it will holdits money better- as for reliability well youve got the ex manifold issues, ex bypass valve ect.

as for reliability well the 360 is no paragon of relibaility either

Ive had a 355 Spider and a 360 Spider, I still miss the 355. I havnt missed the 360 at all.

I know you asked about a Modena but I thought I'd share. 355 all the way.

I had a 355 Spider for 2 1/2 years. Only problem over c12K miles was a blown tyre.

Now a 360 Spider and no problems so far.

In your position I would probably go for the 355 as I like to drive with the roof open. 360 is a better car though.
