I restore parts (I do not remove or refit them) for customers. Mainly parts from classic BMWs. Talking brake callipers, headlights, throttle bodies, intake manifolds, master cylinders, AFMs, differentials, gearboxes, etc etc etc. I'm looking for liability insurance (say if a customer crashed their car and tried to blame it on a part I had rebuilt/restored). Does anyone have recommendations for a firm that can offer this type of insurance? I've been looking into motor trade insurance but I'm a one man band and it also seems to include driving customers vehicles etc which is something I do not do. I never even see the vehicle, only parts.
Cheers

I used Gallagher for my public liability insurance. I have a tradesmen & professionals policy from AXA with cover up to 5m which didn't cost the earth. All done over the phone with really helpful account handlers.

Might be worth giving them a call.

Unfortunately I'm not working again till December/jan, so can't personally help.

You will need a good broker as automotive parts, especially used ones, is a risky area liability wise.

I'd give Darren paterson at https://www.patersonib.co.uk a call. Say Jon Newall sent you, he will look after you
