HI all, so I ve had some issue's with the Chim as of late with rough running and poor performance. Tracked the issue down to a dodgy AFM in that when its unplugged it runs sweet as a nut and when you re connect its rough as st again. So the question is I don't want to buy a cheap Chinese knock off, Powers Performance and Race Tech don't have a listing so where is the best place to source one. Would a AFM for a Landy with EFI lump be ok or do they use different voltages etc.

Thanks as always

Where abouts in the country are you?

I have a relatively new one - I purchased before upgrading ECU.

If that fails, and for anyone else, Rimmers in Lincoln is a good source of both genuine and good quality lookalike Land Rover spares.

Thanks Dave, I am in Louth, Lincolnshire, hopefully your not far away, Rimmers could be an option if I assume the Landy one would be compatible.

Before you condemn the MAF it would make a lot of sense to check what RoverGauge data shows. When yoy unplug it goes into some really rich default mode ignoring airflow and ?? So could be hiding other issues too.

I've written several posts in last few months about diagnosing good/bad MAF's on ph and fb.

I can diagnose your MAF for you if you wish, just need you to give me a RG logfile of 10 mins idling with RG set to

Maf Direct
Throttle Absolute
Trim Short Term

Close to Cadwell park, my favourite track day track.
Just call them with the part number off the present one to find out. I am pretty sure it's a standard landy one

I’m in Northampton. I’m happy to post it to you if you cover the postage? But won’t be until sat as I’m away from home. Drop me an email and I can send you a couple of images
