Mains inverter help please
Discussion
Chaps (and ladies), I’ve managed to book a plot without power for our motorhome / van thing at Goodwood FoS. I don’t want to go to the faff of taking a generator, would a mains inverter be an option? Youngest will want to charge his iPad and phone etc, maybe this is best just done from 12v? Any advice appreciated!
A large power bank or 2 would probably give you enough charge for a weekend of camping.

Doesn’t your motor home have a leisure battery? I swapped one of the cigarette lighters in my VW camper for a USB plug and that then runs off the 12v system. Simply plug my phone or iPad straight into that. No need for additional inverters or suchlike.Something like this is a straight replacement for the lighter.
