next James Bond ?

As most of you know I'm PH's resident James Bond nut.

[b]So who's the next Bond going to be ?[/b]
Looks like it's down to four actors.

Alex O'Lachlan has confirmed for The Daily Telegraph that he was one of four actors who auditioned last month for the role of James Bond in Casino Royale.
The Telegraph reaffirms previous reports that O'Lachlan was up against ER's Goran Visnjic, Henry Cavill and Scotsman Ewan Stewart. The candidates filmed a series of screen tests at Pinewood Studios for 'Goldeneye' and the new 'Casino Royale' director Martin Campbell.

EON says they are looking for a lesser know actor to add spice to the Bond role. Remember Connery was just starting out as an actor after being a bodybuilder when he was discovered. George Lazenby was a car salesman and part time model.

So hopefully the next Bond should be announced in th enext few weeks.

One thing has been confirmed, that the AMV8 will be the next Bond car. (let slip by Henrik Fiskar before he left AML)

Just from looking at them Id have to say number 1. No 2 is too young, 4 is too old and 3, despite being great in ER, is too foreign.

Apparently Daniel Craig did get the offer, but he turned it down not wanting to commit to more than one film and get type cast.

imo , i thought he would have been pretty good.

I put myself forward as the next Bond. This clean cut nonsense is so last year. Islamic fundamentalist beard, long hair, pulling up for a quick bong, slapdash, late for appointments, indifferent about high demand women, driving an old Suzuki Jeep! "Where's Bond?" "Probably still in bed!"
