I was going to post these in one of the Porsche photo threads, but then thought it might deserve its own thread. Here are some snaps of a 1 of 25 Gunther Werks 993 Programme smile

Am i alone in thinking all these Gunters look terrible. Notwithstanding the craftsmanship but the end result looks appalling in my opinion.

I think they're okay. Its more form following function. Fronts been squared off but it does create a caricature. They're all sold out any way I believe. Crazy money.

Out of interest do the carbon body parts add any ridgety or is it all just for show? Just to add cars like this just show me how special the CGT is.

Very nice, hints of the original (930?) turbo.

CF more about weight loss than adding additional strength.

If I had the cash would I buy one? Some days yes some days no in dream land. Its very OTT. I'd easily settle for a bog standard 993 Carrera 2 or RS. Both easily as engaging.

They do a Speedster too. Still not sure. I like the Singer I think at this sort of money.

A £650K 993 ? I think I'd want something a damn sight prettier and more subtle looking for that amount of dough.

I'd be more tempted to go for something along the lines of this Kaege (using more Singeresque wheels) and save a big chunk of cash too :

Gunther Werks, Singer & Ruf - take your pick.

Well the consensus appears to be Singer, Ruf, Kaege or a Classic.

As I have written in an other thread, the Gunther Werks are not my cup of coffee, or so I thought....
That green ones is spectacular!!!! cloud9

I like that they are doing some retro elements, but the car doesn't try to be a 60's Porsche like Singer does (and they pullt this party trick off like no other company!). It clearly is a 90's 993, but on steroids and with some retro touches.

I much prefer the Gunther to the Kaege, which to my eyes looks like a complete mess. The wheels are terrible and the stance with way too much camber even for a 90's Barry Boys dream car looks all wrong.

Let's face it, you'd have to be a massive Gunt to want one of these over-cooked "Werks"

yep see you next tuesday laugh

On a serious note I'd reserve judgment till I see in the flesh but you need to be more besotted by form/materials than function IMO. I'd love to have a go in one.
