Will it go away?

I had really bad break squeal when hot. Had the disks skimmed which lestened the squeal greatly but it was still there. Car went into Austecs again and asked them to sort it. They say they traced the squeal to excess paint on the (back of?)pads themselves (IIRC on mine the paint was bright green). They scraped/trimmed the excess and have bannished the squeal for good

Drop mike_e a mail, I know first hand that his USED to squeal.
From the man who use to deafen Al...
Last rear pad change produced tons of brake squeal, liberal dose of copper ease relieved the noise but not when the brakes were really hot.
Rear disks were quite badly ridged and beyond a surface skim, new rear disks and faced up pads cured the problem.
