What car? up to £15k tops.

Hi all long time lurker here.

Looking to treat myself to something nice for once.

But cant seem to decide what I want, I do like the idea of an E-Class so something comfortable, semi - luxurious. Not fussed on age but don't want star ship mileage.

Musts - cruise, bluetooth, leather seats, auto gearbox, reliable, the more economical the better.

Wants - Panoramic roof would be nice!

Son has recommended Inifniti's (q50/70) so something along them lines, unless anyone has any other ideas.

The Infiniti is a well appointed/well built car BUT it won't feel as nice a place to be as an E Class but you will get one with a nice 3.5 V6 hybrid engine which is a very nice drive train:

If you take it to a main dealer for a service before it's ten years old you can extend the factory warranty for a final year. Between Toyota reliability and a hybrid drivetrain it should have reliable and economical covered fairly well I guess.

Just to add, that 2.2d Q70 looks incredibly worn for only 22k miles. The seats for example and the badly painted rear bumper in a different shade and look at where it is for sale...

Not wrong with a Q70 though...really enjoying mine.

Appreciate you are only using as an example as to what is available as opposed to giving your seal of approval to go buy it

thanks.. appreciate the suggestions.. Can't help but keep coming back to the idea of merc probs e class if can find one with cheaper road tax maybe 2.1/2.2 diesel and hopefully the bonus of the pan roof they do look nice.

Sounds like you need a Jag, a nice XF. That budget will just about get you into a Maserati Ghibli too. Something very bland and obvious about an E Class

If you're going for an E Class diesel the 220/250d's are good but the 350d is the sweet spot.

If you mean the E82 coupe, I’ve been following these for a few years. They’re now very expensive for what is really quite an old car now- £11k for a 14 year old car. Many aren’t held by sympathetic owners and they weren’t known for their reliability so I’m shying away. The M235i seems a better value purchase now.
