PHer at the Ring last Wednesday
Discussion
I happened to be at the Nurburgring last week to see the Edo Team lap record.
Wednesday evenning I took a few laps myself, and was passed (Well, blasted away would be exact...) by 3 911 (2 GT3 and a 964?) at high speed near the Adenau turn.
You guys were bumper to bumper, giving it hell for leather. When the black 964 left the car park later I saw a PH sticker on it.
Any one recognize himself here ?
The Edo car also for eye candy:

Guilty - 964RS.
A right good hoot, that lap was quite fun.
What were you in?
Ha ! There you are !
I was in a seal gray Boxster S with French reg, with the roof down.
I had been driving 6 hours that day from Switzerland and was carrying cases of white wine both in my front boot and passenger footwell for a friends wedding in Ireland, 90 bottles in total. Not ideal, but I decided to do a pistop at the ring and stay the night. Since the track was open I decided to have two tourist lap for the sake of it, with my wine load and all (Not good for the wine I agree!
You guys were absolutely flying, when you passed me the 3 of you were a few inches from each others bumpers, at what seems like warp speed !
I only saw the PH sticker when you left, otherwise I would have enjoyed a beer with you guys, and would have happily shared some of my wine load with you !!
Hope you enjoyed it, I did watching you !!

Oh well, maybe next time

Gulliver,
To give you an idea of relative speed, that particular lap was at least 40 seconds off the pace at which a Rohrl could drive a GT3 like the ones that you saw.
Also factor in that we always take it easy through Breidscheid to respect the public entrance there and you can appreciate how unbelievably quick the Rohrls, Stucks and Mantheys are.
