Worldwide road trip

My friend is planning to a road trip to travel the world in his campervan, but he is finding it hard to get insurance, he has phoned many insurance companies but, they only provide for Europe and not worldwide.

It may be easier to insure a content (or multiple countries) at a time with more local insurers as required.

The reason for that is countries have laws around minimum indemnity limits and restrictions on insurers out of their territory providing insurance in their territory.

I think it may be a nigh on impossible task to get a global motor policy.
