Looking at that appaling Pimp My Ride Uk show and they were putting Lambodoors on a Mk 2 Golf. Scary.

Got me thinking though that for practicle reasons Lambo doors on a Noble would make perfect sense due to the lowness of the car, the bottom of the door scraping the path when you open it and also the struggle to get out when you are parked close to a path.

Why or why not ?

Personally, Lambo doors belong on Lambos.

Anyone seeing a Noble with these types of doors would say, oh, look, a car with Lambo doors.

As much as I like them, I think I will wait till I can afford a Lambo.

I agree aswell Ash but is the Lambo the only car with thoses ttype of doors. As Noble owners we get "the stares" anyway so should we care.

Difficult one - Lambo doors obviously look shite on Corsas etc... but on a supercar, hmmm difficult to say. One thing I can say is that have you ever studied them closely on a car that has them retro-fitted? I've only seen a few but the shut lines were truly dreadful.

Also with these mechanisms the door needs to release at the forward edge first to create some free space, I can see this being difficult with the overlapping design of the M12 wing.

Cheaper to take 'limbo dancing' lessons

I was only thinking that myself while watching Top Gear last night. Might make extracting my rather rotund frame out of the car look a little more elegant!

I think the cars looks are strong enough to carry it off (if they work) without being bling. Also suppose since mine is the only Noble in Ireland and no one has a clue what the car is I could definetely do it.

By the way does anyone get the "an Opel" look when after they have asked what the car is and you tell them it is a Noble.

It'd never work. The glass would break when you open the door, and when you wound the windows down the door would wind up ...

Ash - By that logic do the front vents on the M14 not make it a ferari copy?

Alan

I do not think that you can blame Ferrari for copying the front of the Noble.

Hope that clears this one up.

Anyone know what hinges the Noble uses. Are they standard or from Mondeo?

Also anyone know technically why "Open Up" doors (from this day on they are not called Lambo doors) wont work?
