I tend to adopt the approach don't touch unless broken, normally ends in tears otherwise... for me anyhow... although saying that I'll get the book

However, does anyone know how to remove the drivers door panel on the Chim? Had a go the other day, but as usual was concerned I may break sommut...

Reason being is that the runner for the drivers window is missing and causing the window to rattle..

The first edition is out of print pending the second which is due in Nove/Dec. Can't get onto the website for techie reasons to update it at the moment.

It looks like the TVRCC will be taking advance orders and they will be the quickest way of getting the new edition. Please don't call them now as I haven't got vital details like price totally agreed. Problem is a book that is twice the size and twice the cost at the moment. Don't worry I am working on getting it down to around the first edition cost but don't have anything confirmed right this time.

425 pages with 250,000 words ish and around 700 illustrations ish and about 45 hours to read at 5 word per second grab you for 3/4 tank of optimax ish. Does that sound different enough?

Took the drivers door panel off last weekend to rewire speaker and sort out the VERY slow windows.
The panel is in 2 parts, the outer panel is secured on the bottom with threaded metal studs, the nuts and washers are on the inside of the door and are accessed by removing the speaker and putting your arm through the hole. With the outer panel removed you should be able to remove the self tappers that hold the inner carpeted panel onto the door.
Notes
1. I had to get my wife (thin arms) to remove the last 2 nuts, my arms were just too big to reach them.
2. There were 4 studs on my Chimaera outer panel, the bible says 3 so take care not to wrench the last one out.
3. Allow plenty of time, the panel is still off mine!

Hope this helps
