It's a baking hot day and I've been driving my Shed audi A2 which has no (working) A/C.

Any other Non-ACers out there facing the heat today? Does it bother you not having AC?

No aircon is a distant and unhappy memory.

Occasionally in Italy I am reminded of the "good" old days by cabbies who don't want it on because they think it makes them ill. "Colpo d'aria" they call it.

Never had a car with (working) A/C, usually just take the roof off (except the old Volvo Estate).

Elise doesn't have AC but the roof comes off. Long time since I've had anything else without it.

My 60s Land Rover has opening scuttle vents, these are superb even in really hot weather.

My other options are my car which needs the a/c charging really and a bike which is lovely whilst moving and horrible whilst stationary, especially in protective clothing.

The aircon in my shed hasn't worked for years and it was 30 degrees when I was driving around the M25 visiting a customer yesterday. Luckily I had take a frozen bottle of water with my which was partially melted by the time I left.

My new car is being delivered next month and one of the things I am most excited about is it has air con. Nothing worse than arriving at your destination to realise that the back of your shirt is soaked with sweat.

The A2 has quite a glasshouse on it. It's also aerodynamic. They had the same problems with the 1982 ECOTY Audi 100 C3.

If your AC is broken get it fixed or change the car for another with working AC?

I like the A2.

I've only recently got my first car with AC. It doesn't bother me.

None of my cars have working AC, and though I’ve had it on everything I’ve owned from about 10 years back since, only had it working on one TT for a short time.

I don’t mind the heat.

I took the Alfa out at lunchtime

It was cool to start off as it had been in the garage.

10minutes later… not so much..

I was only out for about half an hour today, but with both windows down the breeze coming through made it really nice.

I rarely bother with A/C unless I've got passengers or maybe if it's 30°C+. I can quite easily manage without it.

The A/C in my newly acquired Smart ForTwo has slowly faded to nothing after a regas two weeks ago. Annoying! Hopefully the fix won't be expensive (booked in on Tuesday)-frustrating also it's something I can't do myself.

It was sorely missed yesterday and on the trip out I made this morning! Doesn't seem to be too humid today though, which is a blessing.

My Mk1 Yaris T Sport track car/runabout has no working AC, no working heater either. So you get plenty of blow of whatever is outside, in today's case 31 degrees.

I had to go shopping in it earlier, and it was a bit toasty inside. Luckily it has a sunroof to help circulate the air, which very few of my cars have had. I'd forgotten how nice they are!

I've been in much hotter vehicles on much hotter days.

My runabout ZetecS (2005) fiesta has ice cold air con.
It literally feels like the brakes are dragging with the air con on there's so much power drain with the compressor running.
Switch it off and it's a different car.
Around town in traffic I'll have it on but out on the open road it's off with windows open.

The AC is broken in my Octavia, the AC works my M5. I've bought a new condenser for the Octavia as it was regassed not long after I bought it and it seems to have escaped, so I am hoping the condenser fixes it.

I struggle without AC now, I've gotten too used to it.

Mrs B is in her Forester today. The aircon's broken and won't be fixed until Monday. She's driven from London to Oxford and back again today.

Not a happy Mrs. hehe

Not been out in this heat except in garden, always found driving in heat without AC acceptable until I got one with AC working, I would be the one waiting for someone with my windows up and half my face starting to freeze while people walked past dripping with sweat giving me an aren't you dyeing in there look as if it was never invented.

AC doesn't bother me. We have 3 cars and only one has A/C (ironically a convertible!)

I'd rather open the windows/roof and experience the summer.

One thing i love about American cars is the A/C! The A/C turned up to 7 in my Mustang is like a whirlwind in your face.

I was driving the company Merc C45 the other day and even on max, it was like a mouse coughing on you, absolutely dreadful! (and no cooled seats!)
