That series of Vanquish is going to be seen one day as the pinnacle of the gaydon cars along with maybe the V12VS.
While the new V8v might be more nimble and modern, I do not think it in anyway compares with your Vanq.
You have a N/A V12.... that's something that will be timeless. Stunningly beautiful car as well with maybe the best of any aston interiors...
Go with your heart, but to me the Vanq is a future classic and keeper. The current v8v... not so much. especially once it's facelifted going in the next year or two

I cannot understand what is so special, about disposing of every car at 3 years old.
That is just when I like to buy cars, between 2 and 3 years old. Often still in as-new condition, but only have to pay half of the new price.
It just seems a good way to own cars.

I used to think a car that needed an MOT was taboo and old! Having owned the best part of 30 cars now and had a wide range of experience I now know what makes a great car (to me anyway), and in that respect the two I have are pretty much the best two I could wish for, so they are both keepers. I wouldn't swap them for anything newer, even if it goes against the grain of keeping an "old" car.
The trouble is there are only a few years left when new petrol cars will be able to be bought so I do get the urge to "do it now", before everything is just an EV and has all the appeal of a dose of Monkey Pox.

That is great Adam. They have become 'part of the family' for you.
As already mentioned, I like keeping my cars long after most people throw them away. If cared for reasonably well, it is amazing how long a car can continue to be used, particularly those built this century. Would you believe, I still have my very first car (Mk 1 Cooper)? Still very original and with some competition history. People say it is worth £X, but that is a meaningless statement for keepers.
You have a wonderful pair of Aston Martins and you will be able to enjoy them for many years ahead.

If Mercedes do allow Aston Martin to buy the latest version of their infotainment system, (at present it is the pre-2017 version), then screens it will be. This is the interior of the new Mercedes-Benz SL sports car. That seems to now be the standard screen arrangement for most of their models (probably also in the new E-Class next year).
You don't have to touch the screen though if you don't want to (or consider the distraction to be dangerous), you can talk to the car! -
