LISA - rates likely to rise?
Discussion
Looking at starting a LISA for my daughter.
She’s still at uni but is currently on a years placement with a final year at uni after that.
She’s keen to start to save for a house so a LISA seems the sensible thing to do.
She has £10k in a normal ISA currently so we were going to put £4K from that (plus the contribution from our wonderful gov) into a LISA.
Looking at what’s available, the rates all seem to be fixed at around 0.8% - with interest rates seemingly going to carry on rising, would it be prudent to hold off to see if the LISA rates also rise, or are these products different?
I don’t know much about them..
Tia.
