I used their card in 2019 when we last went to Euroland, loaded with sterling and converted to Euros and it all worked very OK. Since we're going back to France early July, thought I'd check how much was still on it and load it up again but I can't make head nor tail of it.

No response from phone, it just has the standard, "we're very busy so can't be bothered to answer", or words to that effect. Website doesn't seem to work either, can't log in and no reply to emails asking them what's happening.

I guess I might have had a small balance c€300 on the card but not really sure.

So two questions. Are they still in existence or gone bang and if they are defunct what's the best way to pay in Euroland rather than use my UK cards? I guess I could take cash but prefer the security of a card of some sort.

Any recommendations welcome

Get a Chase account. Used that in Spain last month and no fees for using the euro and almost the spot rate on the exchange rate.

As for Fairfx I have just logged in on the app and I have 70 US cents and 48 Euro cents. Last of the big spenders wink

Not sure about contact details but I still use my card with them with no problems.
