Why so many hours to service a Cerbera?

Why does it take so long to service a Cerbera?
The Engine, Gearbox, Diff oil's, filters etc can't take too long, Spark plugs will take a little time to remove the air boxes etc.
4 wheel alignment, brakes, setting up on the tester and then the final road test.
So why 6-7 hours labour for a 6000 mile service?

Cos they're probably doing others at the same time... its the typical 'builder' syndrome, where more than one is being worked on at the same time... I hate that and have found that the likes of Joospeed finish one car at a time, which makes more sense to me because your car gets 101% attention until the job is finished.... I suppose its a different issue altogether when parts have to be ordered in and your car is left alone until they turn up though...

6-7 hours is the minimum it takes to do it properly, i used to reckon on closer to ten hours average ..

If you look at the service sheets for any TVR then you will find that there are loads of things that are checked, changed, filled, drained, tweaked, looked at and generally fiddled with.

This all adds time. Why not ask the people that service it?

I have just had a 6k service. got the car in for about 9ish and it wasnt quite ready when i returned at 1800 (did include fitting a sports pipe but i was around for the removal and it didnt take tooo long). not got the itemised list of stuff they did..so id say about 8hrs in all, minus a lunch of course! mechanics do take lunches , dont they?!?
