We have a large Oak tree outside our house that seems to be particularly skilled in soaking our cars in tree sap.

I try to stay on top of cleaning the cars, but often even if they are only outside for a day they are covered in it.

Will a ceramic coating help with both the removal of the sap when cleaning, and be strong enough to still afford protection to the paint?

Appreciate thoughts and suggestions.

It will help in cleaning as will most coatings but it will get clogged quickly with the sap.

More often than not sap takes more than a wash to get off completely so slowly it gets worse and worse until a full decontamination is done.

I’d be using a good snow foam every wash to soak as much off as possible each time and a strong shampoo that is compatible with the coating on the car.
