Good places to eat near Vauxhall Bridge?

Hi all,

We have a family gathering close to Vauxhall Bridge on Saturday. Can anyone recommend some good restaurants/pubs etc. to eat in?

Preferably no Italian! (Father in law is 70 and hates pasta and pizza). Couple of kids that are not fussy, 10 and 13.

I've stayed there every week for 3 years. Still haven't found a good place. I get the tube to better bits of town

Yes, ordinarily we would. But there won't be any tubes on Saturday!

Happy to walk over the bridge to Pimlico or Westminster, but not much further due to aforementioned kids and 70 year old in-laws!

Bus servive isn't bad into Westminster or down towards waterloo (360 or 77)

Jones Family kitchen is quite good close to Victoria station. There is also a good Thai up there called Rosa's, Timmy Greens at Bressenden Place is ok

Great restaurant!

If you can do the 15-min walk to Oval, Adulis is a great Eritrean for something a bit different and great value (and delicious!). Been there 26 years and counting!

The restaurant at Lasco (the overpriced reclamation place on the roundabout) can be nice. The room itself has loads of charm.

I found it disappointing. Same with the Madeira themed one.

Slight caveat,was a Portuguese friends birthday who's a regular there,who knows?
