Brake rewind tool
Discussion
Probably going to get the brakes started on the V8 this weekend and into next week, whilst I've a few days off
Need a brake rewind tool to push the pistons back in ands thinking of this:

Any one used this and if so; does it do the necessary job?
Recommendations for a similar tool maybe?
Cheers

That should be sound - I bought an Amazon special with loads of fittings and its worked a treat when I've used it.
I've just splurged on this

Will see how it goes. One of the lads on the 5 forums recommended it and says it's been faultless!
For £12 it's worth a punt!
This is the kit I bought (well, it looks the same not sure how much I paid).

A decent wind back tool can turn the brake piston via keys or slots in the surface of the piston. This is necessary on some rear brake setups, where you have to wind the piston back in, instead of simply overcoming the resistance of the fluid behind it. I'd get one that does that.
BMWs don't need that (not the E39s anyways); they simply push back in etcPrevious Honda's you needed to wind them back in; I've still got that tool somewhere!
