freeholder sells freehold. Can new one change lease ?

I own one of 3 flats in a building.
The lease is owned by a seperate freeholder.

The freeholder wishes to see the lease, as it is too much hassle for them.

The ground rent is low, around 25 pa, and goes up every 30 years ro something like that.
999 year lease.

Nos service charges, we just split the bills.
There is no mention of a service charge.
The lease just states we should pay for repairs between us.

if the leasehold i sold, can the new leaseholder change any of the lease?
Can they increase teh ground rent?
Can they start askign for a service chanrge?

Buy the Freehold between you all.

I did years ago. In a small block it can work. You have to get on with your fellow residents though....

A new freeholder could appoint a management company, who could start charging you "fees" and also select "preferential tradesmen" at higher than expected costs. I had this and it was why our group of flat owners bought the Freehold.

The freeho,her is selling as one owner doesn't pay invoices or respond.
There is no possibility of all 3 buying the freeho.d.

I could buy it, but it's a poison chalice, unless i charge the other 2 fees.
